This programme will provide you with the knowledge you need to contribute to the productivity and efficiency of an office while you develop the technical and administrative skills that can contribute to improving performance and productivity.

Course Information
This programme comprises 60 credits.
Customer Service (15 Credits)
Develop the knowledge, skills and attributes to provide administrative services in a business
Business Technologies (15 Credits)
Develop the knowledge and skills to use business technologies to produce documents for the workplace.
Financial information (15 Credits)
Develop the knowledge, skills and attributes to perform financial calculations and process data for business purposes.
Workplace Practice (15 Credits)
Develop the knowledge, skills and attributes to apply appropriate technologies to support business performance.

The New Zealand Certificate in Business (Administration and Technology) (Level3) supersedes and takes the best from the following programme of study, which is no longer offered:
National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Level 3)
Domestic Entry Requirements
Open entry if the delegated authority at the campus/site is satisfied that the applicant has the capability to complete the requirements of the programme.
International Entry Requirements
International applicants must provide evidence that they have the necessary English language proficiency required for the programme as demonstrated by an IELTS score of 5.0 (general or academic) with no individual band lower than 5 from one test taken in the preceding two years, or an equivalent described in NZQA Rules and on Delivery Site English Language Requirements for International Ākonga Web-page.
Accreditation
The programme is approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority under the provisions of the Education and Training Act 2020, and Universal College of Learning is accredited to teach it.

This qualification may build on from:
National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 1, 2 or 3, or
foundation qualifications including in computing
Recognition of prior learning
Applications for Recognition of Prior Learning, including Cross Credit, Credit Transfer and Assessment of Prior Learning may be made on the Recognition of Prior Learning Form where a learner believes all learning outcomes for a course have already been met. Applications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the UCOL Academic Statute and other relavant policies and procedures.

National Student Number (NSN) (If you don't have a NSN, you may request one from NZQA, or you can supply a verified copy of your birth certificate, passport or Whakapapa statement)

Evidence that you meet the entry requirements of the programme
Check if you're eligible for additional support or a scholarship. If you're 19 years or younger, you may be eligible to enrol in one of our free Youth Transition programmes
