UCOL celebrated another year of growth in its scholarships portfolio last week on the Manawatu Campus, with more than 60 ākonga having collectively received scholarships valued at over $68,000.
Ākonga (learners) from UCOL U-Skills Academy programmes have been recognised for their hard work and achievements at a series of prize-giving events across the rohe.
A pilot course is underway aimed at training youth from Horowhenua to participate in the district's largest infrastructure project and create meaningful careers.
UCOL is proud to partner with Palmerston North City Council, Y-Central, Sport Manawatū and Police to deliver ‘Kick for the Seagulls’ to a group of 10 rangatahi for the first time in Palmerston North.
Two second-year nursing students at UCOL Manawatū, Morgan Beugelsdyk and Davis Ferguson, have been elected to key positions within Māori nursing. The appointments are testament to their dedication to improving healthcare for Māori communities and supporting their fellow students.
