Overview

This programme provides project-based experience in our computer labs.

Content will cover creating programme to provide a solution, knowledge of microcontrollers, and construct and test a programme in a robotics environment.

This programme comprises 23 credits

Unit Standard 18741 (Level 3) (Version 7) (6 Credits)

Formulate a design specification, write code, and test and modify a program to provide a solution to a problem; and create simple end-user documentation.

Unit Standard 29791 (Level 3) (Version 2) (2 Credits)

Capture and prepare digital media for integration into other applications. This may include still images, moving images, audio, or other media types.

Unit Standard 29789 (Level 3) (Version 2) (Credits 3)

Use a presentation application to produce an interactive multimedia presentation.

Unit Standard 29788 (Level 3) (Version 2) (Credits 5)

Develop, test, and evaluate an interactive website for organisational use.

Unit Standard 29796 (Level 3) (Version 2) (Credits 7)

Collaborate and communicate with others effectively and safely in a digital environment.

Domestic Entry Requirements

For year 11 - 13 secondary school learners (NZ Citizens, permanent residents or learners with an applicable visa allowing them to be enrolled in a secondary school).

Applications are to be received from participating schools.
