Overview

This course is designed to introduce learners to a career pathway in either nursing or nursing laboratory technician.

You will complete practical activities that are common in everyday nursing practices.

10 hours over two days - Thursday and Friday, 9am - 3pm

Course Information

Practical hands-on based course (Nursing Simulation Laboratory).

Domestic Entry Requirements

Open Entry. Learners must be self-motivated and ready to learn.

For year 11 - 13 secondary school learners (NZ Citizens, permanent residents or learners with an applicable visa allowing them to be enrolled in a secondary school).

Applications are to be received from participating schools.

Costs

Fees-free for learners. Upon successful application, your school will pay UCOL a fee.

Learners will need to bring a pen and paper to take notes and are required to dress appropriately for the health industry i.e. no hoodies, sandals, dirty footwear, slippers, or ripped or stained clothing.

Learners are expected to dress and behave to the industry standard.

There are no additional costs associated with this course. Simply, bring a pen, paper and your lunch each week.
