Overview
This programme is your gateway to the exciting world of game design and development. Explore the creative process behind interactive experiences while learning the fundamentals of game mechanics, digital media, and coding.
With hands-on projects and expert guidance, you’ll design, develop, and pitch your own game concepts - building the technical and creative skills that open doors to careers in gaming, design, and technology.

Course Information
This programme comprises 22 credits.
Unit Standard 29773 (Level 2) (Version 2) (3 Credits)
Produce digital images for a range of digital media.
Unit Standard 29771 (Level 2) (Version 2) (3 Credits)
Use the main features and functions of a presentation application for a purpose.
Unit Standard 29791 (Level 3) (Version 2) (2 Credits)
Capture and prepare digital media for integration into other applications.
Unit Standard 29793 (Level 3) (Version 2) (5 Credits)
Investigate, plan, design and create digital outcome solutions to meet the requirements of a specified brief.
Unit Standard 18741 (Level 3) (Version 7) (6Credits)
Create a computer programme to provide a solution.
Unit Standard 29790 (Level 3) (Version 2) (3 Credits)
Apply digital tools to create and monitor a project plan.
Domestic Entry Requirements
For year 11 - 13 secondary school learners (NZ Citizens, permanent residents or students with an applicable visa allowing them to be enrolled in a secondary school).
Applications are to be received from participating schools.
International Entry Requirements
Not applicable.
