U-Skills STAR Construction Skills

This course provides you with a base understanding and the core skills required to construct a utility building on-site at UCOL.

If you're interested in applying for this course, talk to your careers advisor at school. Application is arranged in partnership with your parents/caregivers and your school.

Mondays, 9am - 3pm

This course comprises 8 Credits.

Study at the UCOL dedicated trades facility.

For year 11 - 13 secondary school learners (NZ Citizens, permanent residents or learners with an applicable visa allowing them to be enrolled in a secondary school).

Applications are to be received from participating schools.

Successful completion of the UCOL STAR Construction Skills course is the first step in a journey. Equipped with new skills and a taste for the industry, you will know what you need to do to pursue a career in carpentry.

Fees-free for learners. Upon successful application your school will pay UCOL a fee.

There are no additional costs associated with this course. Simply, bring a pen, paper and your lunch each week.
